14 DEC 2012 Hobbit Release:

The Hobbit (thebdpage.blogspot.com) - Warner Bros and New Line announced today that Peter Jackson has officially titled its next two movies :

"The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" will be released on 14 December 2012.

"The Hobbit: There and Back Again" will be released on 13 December 2013.


MGM and New Line are sharing costs (and profits too) on both 3D stereoscopic movies. Both are filmed at high frame rate (48 fps) with Red Epic cameras. Read more in IndieWire.

Gorgeous film “The Lords of the King” director Peter Jackson announced title and release dates of his upcoming Hobbit film.

Hobbit films named in two parts where the first will name The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey and second will name The Hobbit: There And Back Again. Both film will be release on 14 December 2012 and 13 December 2013 respectively.

The Hobbit part-1 and part-2 films will take place in J.R.R. Tolkien‘s world of Middle Earth 60 years prior to the events in the author’s Lord Of The Rings trilogy, of which Jackson previously adapted to film.

The both film began back back shooting on March 21, 2011 in Wellington, New Zealand and those movies may shoot through out the New Zealand including Wellington Stone Street Studios, the town of Matamata.

The star of two films including, Martin Freeman, Ian McKellen, Richard Armitage, Andy Serkis, Ian Holm.
